Planning a move after the holidays?
If you are planning on moving but want to wait till after the holidays, there are several things you can do now while you are waiting.
No doubt, moving is alot of work! From deciding on where you want to live, to reviewing your current home for damages, repairs or needed updates before putting your home on the market. All while trying to get through your holiday cheer! This can create a complete overload of stress and anxiety.
My number one recommendation is to contact your realtor first. Let them know what you are planning and give them a timeline of events. Set up a time for your Realtor to do a walk through of your home. Create a checklist of items that need to be repaired, organized/decluttered and staged for when you are ready to list your home.
Alot of sellers make the mistake of waiting to start this process till after the holidays. Waiting prolongs the timeline of when you will be able to sell your home. By starting the process during the holidays you can work on your checklist early and you will be able to have your house up for sale at the beginning of the new year.
